Mission Accomplished!

An open letter to the U.S. Government

You got him!!! Well done. Good work. The U.S. has done what it said it came to Iraq to do: Get rid of Saddam Hussein. Excellent. He's gone. Now there's NO REASON for you to stay there anymore. Leave. Go home. Your soldiers are tired and fed up with being attacked all the time. Your economy can't afford to fund the fight in a losing battle anymore. You have an excuse to leave the fray looking like you did what you came to do. You need to go home and sort out your economy, so that you are not so dependent on cheap oil any more.

Let the U.N. clear up the mess. Let them organise free and fair elections, awarding reconstruction contracts to companies best suited to the job and offering the lowest tender. Your presence is no longer required in Iraq, which is not a threat to U.S. interests and it has no Nuclear Weapons at all. If you're looking for Nukes, why not try Israel, or Great Britain, for starters. They have plenty.

If you really want to feel safe and sound in your beds at night, then please, please, PLEASE stop supporting Israel in their oppression of Palestinians. I am neither pro-Palestinian, nor anti-Israeli, but I see an imbalance in that part of the Middle East, and it's creating waves throughout the region, and indeed the world. Use your influence to broker a settlement whereby Israel and Palestine (microcosms of the Global Players, that they are) can peacfully co-exist. Stop Sharon's seperatism, which is fuelling Hamas' extremism. Israel and Palestine should become one nation. The religious and physical barriers should be dismantled and Muslim and Jew given the opportnity to share the same piece of land and work together for the common good.

This conflict is never going to end, as long as the U.S. takes sides with Israel. Americans will forever be targets of Extremist Muslim hatred, as long as they support the sepratist actions of the current Israeli government.

Yankee go home
