Paris 2. DrF Says He's Sorry

After a horrible Friday at work, trying to look busy while actually trying not to pass out on his keyboard, the Good Doktah did the Right Thing and went to buy some flowers, a card, some nice vino and tiptoed upstairs to Make Amends. His neighbour found the sight of her hung-over neighbour standing in her doorway, clutching a bunch of flowers and looking verrry sheepish indeed, highly amusing and invited him in for a verre. And WHAT a good thing it was that he got locked out the previous night. Angelique and Barbara are such nice people! We nailed plenty of fine wine and we are now firm friends. Went to meet some more nice people on Saturday night and made friends with them, too. Here are some pics

Weird how I've lived in Paris, in the same apartment, for over 18 months and never met them properly. I suppose it's not that easy to go knocking on somebody's door and introducing yourself. The Good Dr likes to spend his evenings in a state of semi-undress and does NOT want friendly neighbours ringing his bell and inviting themselves into his squalid environment, so it's probable that others have the same feelings? Nes pas! I am going to make a supreme effort to get to meet my neighbours, what's there to lose?
