Paranoid Delusions of Grandeur

Increased security to ensure safety of US President will cost Britain five million pounds.

Since when has a US president ever been assasinated by anybody, other than a citizen of his own country?
Lincoln, Kennedy, Reagan... all were shot while they were in the US, by fellow Americans, so why all the fuss when the US president goes to another country? He's perfectly safe when he's abroad, it's when he's at home that he needs to be careful.
They should keep him permanently sealed in a titanium bunker, 500m underground in the Nevada Desert, preferably without any air.

I'm glad I won't be in London when he comes to visit next week, the US Security Forces want to close roads, stations, etc. the entire city, in fact so that no Al-Queda terrerists can threaten the Mighty Man. I was in Cape Town when Clinton came to visit in 1998 (or so). The (in)security forces closed DeWaal drive for over two hours during the morning Rush Hour, so that the Presidential Cavalcade could proceed safely. They caused the biggest traffic jam in the history of South African motor travel. People couldn't get to work or drop their kids off at school. Meetings were missed, flights were delayed, deliveries not made, ambulances, police cars and other emergency vehicles were stuck in traffic.
There was quite a lot more "Clinton se ma se ingelekte poes" than "we're honoured to have the Leader of the Free World come to visit us" on the radio phone-in shows. Total chaos; which continued throughout the day as the city tried to recover. That was just two hours in a much smaller city than London. Imagine what next week will be like? Eish.

Talk about endearing the British Public to the leader of their Transatlantic Cousins - make them pay five million squid and fuck them around no end, so that a man that 60% of the country hate can come and swagger around town.

You won't be able to get to work, so take the day off and go wave banners and stuff wherever he goes. Make him feel as unwelcome as he is.

Yanqui GO HOME!
