Bathtub Blues

Got home last night to find Marco had done quite a lot of work on the bathroom but had not finished it because the reliable Great British weather being what is, was pissing it down meaning he couldn't do much with the wood. He had however, managed to tongue and groove the bath and one of the walls which was quite good going and it looks great. However, after a KFC bucket and a few bevvies it was about midnight and I thought I'd better get packed for this business away day and went round the house looking for clean shirts, duds and my overnight kit. The first two I found ok, but the third was eluding me. I asked Marco where he had put it when he'd taken it out from under the bath before panelling it. . . you just know what he'd done don't you?! Yup, due to the small size of my bathroom and the limited storage space I'd stored a few things at the edge of the frame under the bath - they were in plain view though and he'd sealed them in!

He was calling me a soppy **** for leaving them there and I was calling him a soppy **** for sealing them in. Either way, it didn't change the fact that at gone midnight last night we had to remove half the pine panelling from the bath with a hammer to be able to get the stuff out! My neighbours are truly going to love me - one has already been round because Marco was playing my Pink Floyd's dark side of the moon at extreme decibels during the day while the poor geezer next door was trying to work from home :-/ I don't know why it always happens to me, just lucky I guess?!
