Master of Plaster

Don't even get me started on DIY bud. This week has been one of those 'Doug specials' while attempting to sort out the kitchen walls. I mean how hard can it be to remove a bit of wallpaper?
Since when did that involve having part of a chimney collapse and sticking a pair of pliers in your hand? Laugh, I could cry - in-fact I was bloody close to that when I realised I'd let go of the pliers with my right hand but they were quite literally stuck in the left one. . .
So far, my week of stripping wallpaper has involved me doing (among other things) electrics, cementing and first aid. I can't wait for the new opportunities to maim myself in the second part of the week.
My hands look like the hands of a person who's just been found in bed with Mrs Sabre Tooth Tiger by Mr Sabre Tooth Tigre and has tried to make a hasty exit. Do you know I think I must be the first person in history to slash his wrist with a piece of flying ceramic tile?!!!! The only good news I've had this week is that the shitter of a car I bought (the Heijdra special) breezed through it's MOT yesterday needing only a bulb and a new tyre - total bill £56 including MOT test fee :) I was so happy, today I doubled it's value by filling it up with petrol.
Am still debating whether or not to plaster the walls myself, I mean I've got all the plastering tools, what could go wrong. . .?
